Juice Yourself Thin
If you have been even remotely cognizant of media within the last, well, forever, you have come to understand the roll that “thinness” plays in our society. There are even diet regimens for pets nowadays. Young girls and boys, for that matter, are finding themselves under inordinate pressure to conform to size charts erected in honor of “thinness”. Young women find themselves often insecure and unsure, not because of their lack of education or financial status, but because of their weight. From the preface, one would assertain that this post is about the injustices of society with regard to the unfair treatment of the overweight or less-than-thin segments of our society. Not so. This post is an attempt to provide healthy options to those who wish to lose that weight that has dogged them for years. This post, although not comprehensive, is intended to illuminate little known information regarding the task of effective, healthy and holistic weight loss.
First, it is important to note that each individual is just that, an individual. One thing does not work for everyone, therefore adjustments and constant monitoring should be employed in order to ensure optimal effectiveness. Second, it is also important to state that any form of effective weight loss requires commitment, sacrifice and tenacity. You cannot sit on the couch day after day, downing bon-bons, while popping weight loss pills and expect that you will see a significant and long lasting difference. It’s not gonna happen. So, with that said, here’s a little explanation of how this type of weight loss regimen works.
Juice Fasting
Juice Fasting consists of ingesting fruit and vegetable juices with the intent to detoxify the body. Juices assimilate much easier into the body, therefore allowing for quick and easy disspelling of toxins. When no solid food is ingested into the system, the body automatically seeks out alternate fuel for energy, namely fat cells. This is how you lose weight.
Effects of Juice Fasting
Because each person is different, the effects will be vary. However, be assured that weight loss will occur if you stick with it. Below is a list, both good and bad, of effects of juice fasting.
Headache
Slight feeling of sickness
Stomach churning
Increased bowel movements
Increased energy
Weight loss
Mental clarity
Initial acne breakouts, eventual clearing of the skin
Sweating
Reduces constipation and bloating
How To Juice Fast
Fresh juice is the key. Do not store your juiced fruit or vegetables even for one day. Live enzymes and much needed nutrients are lossed as soon as oxidation begins. So make sure to drink your juice as soon as possible after preparation. For juice fasting, all you’ll need are fruit, vegetables, water, and a juicer/blender.
